Funerals

In the Episcopal tradition, we couple great gratitude for the life of the person who has died along with allowance of grief for those who are experiencing loss. In that thin space, we are reminded that in death, “life has changed, not ended.”

Our theology at funeral services proclaims the Resurrection: that death has no final say or sway over love. Funerals at Chapel of Our Saviour are rarely held at set times throughout the week.

Funerals are ordered according to the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer and customarily include readings, a homily, eulogies, and music, if desired.
